Dennis Roberts, Choir Director

Mr. Roberts’ music career spans more than fifty years and includes education, performance, and composition. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, and a Master of Arts in Organ Performance from California State University, Los Angeles. His credentials include Standard Secondary, Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development, Multiple Subject, Community College, Educational Administration, and he is an associate fellow of the California State School Leadership Academy. He founded the original Susanville Choral Society in 1980, and served as its Artistic Director until 2010. He has conducted more than 20 performances of Handel 's Messiah, and is the founder and conductor of the Susanville United Methodist Church Handbell Choir, where he has been Choir Director since 1990. His experience includes musical director for many community-based musicals as well as being a prolific composer. He has been a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild since 1983.
